8 resident scholars appointed at CIRM

Published: 5 July 2019

CIRM is confirmed as a privileged place of residence for researchers working on Montreal with the appointment of 8 Canadian and foreign researchers as resident and visiting scholars for the summer of 2019 and the upcoming academic year!

The Resident Scholars Program, which every year since 2014 welcomes a young researcher whose work intersects with one of the Centre's six research-action axes, will allow this year 6 new researchers to puruse their work at CIRM in addition to benefiting from material and documentary resources, a record that testifies to the vitality of the Centre and the influence of its activities on the local and international scenes. The research projects of these researchers are part of CIRM's six cardinal axes and will bring together research in Montreal studies conducted at 5 Canadian and foreign universities. The description of these research projects can be consulted by following the links below:

In addition, two invited researchers will also be visiting CIRM during the summer of 2019 in order to continue their work in the metropolis: the linguist Fabio Scetti (Paris-Descartes University), who will be working on Montreal's Italian community, and Professor Mariona Tomàs Fornés (University of Barcelona), who will study the participatory instruments put in place by the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal.
