Torsion pairs for quivers and the Weyl group

Path algebras of Dynkin quivers are one of the most fundamental classes of algebras. The representation theory is closely related to the combinatorics of the Weyl group. In this talk, we will explain a connection between torsion pairs of quiver representations and sortable elements. In particular, we review that preprojective algebras realize the Weyl group and sortable elements provide torsion pairs in terms of positive roots.
