The Victims' Right to Review Prosecutorial Decisions: Comparative Approaches

In recent years, common law and continental jurisdictions have developed victim review mechanisms that aim to offer victims of crime a greater participative role in holding prosecutors accountable for some of their prosecutorial decisions. This panel discusses the rationales, limits, and resistance that relate to review mechanism with a focus on the approaches developed in England and Wales, Canada, and Australia.
