Sustaining Remote Supervision

Wednesday, March 10, 2021 11:00to12:30
Sustaining Remote Supervision

This 90 minute interactive webinar will provide McGill graduate students and postdocs with concrete tools to maintain their supervisory relationship online. Through a combination of discussion prompts and case studies, students will explore strategies for redefining supervisory expectations, and tactics for staying motivated in both research and thesis work given the current remote learning context.

Learning outcomes:
• Identify strategies for redefining expectations with your supervisor
• Discuss approaches to staying motivated in the remote learning context

*Please note that this workshop content overlaps significantly with that of Shifting to Remote Supervision. Students who have already participated in Shifting may find this workshop redundant and are encouraged to attend Getting Started with Supervision and/or the Getting the Best out of Your Supervisor Panel Discussion instead.

IMPORTANT: Students must register with their official McGill email address in order for the registration to be valid.
