Sacred Holidays: An Online Lecture by Encounter World Religions

Celebrations, deeply held traditions, community events and personal rituals give a richness to religions and guide us from cradle to grave. We will explore the role that sacred holidays play in personal, family and community life during this online lecture by Encounter World Religions.

Note: This workshop requires that you pay $30 to register for the live zoom event, which includes handouts and limited access to recording. Reimbursement is possible if certain conditions are met. 

How to register with the host: 

  1. Go to the registration page https://www.worldreligions.ca/winter-series-2026 2.
  2. Enter your Attendee information (Note: this event is hosted by a third party. By registering, you agree to their privacy policies which may differ from McGill’s). 
  3. In Additional Information, click the box next to The Religious Soundscape (Feb 11) 
  4. In Price Details, select One lecture ($30) 
  5. In Payment Card, enter your credit card info 
  6. Click Register and Pay and follow remaining instructions onscreen 

 

How to qualify for reimbursement: 

Students who register may be eligible for an award to offset the registration fee of $30 if they meet all of the following criteria: 

  • Register via myInvolvement for this event and receive confirmation from MORSL, using your McGill student email 
  • Be currently registered for at least one 3-credit course 
  • Register and pay for the event via the host website (see instructions above) 
  • Have direct deposit set up in your student account to receive the MORSL award
