Genomics like it’s 1960: revisiting classical models with modern data

I will present models of genomic diversity that reframe some classical population genetics result in a modern computational framework that allows for joint modelling of drift, recombination, selection, migration, and reversible mutation. I will discuss applications to human demographic inference, especially ancient structure within Africa.
