In the early months of the pandemic, Ph.D. candidates had to go where no earlier candidates had gone before – the virtual defense room. Join two newly minted McGill PhDs online for a chat where they will share their experiences, strategies for preparation, and tips to crush your virtual defense.

Learning objectives:

  • Share strategies for preparing for virtual defense
  • Share experiences of defending Ph.D. online

SPEAKERS:

Claire McLeish, Ph.D. (Musicology, 2020), Instructor, Concordia University

Claire McLeish earned a Ph.D. in Musicology from McGill University in 2020. Her dissertation research examines digital sampling and music copyright in golden age hip-hop.
