Title: On the conjugacy separability of mapping tori of polynomially growing free group automorphisms.
Abstract: In this talk I will present progress towards establishing the conjugacy separability of mapping tori of polynomially growing free group automorphisms. This work builds on recent advances in our understanding of the structure of this class of groups and heavily uses a technique known as virtually free vertex filings. The talk will include background, some graphs of groups yoga and, time permitting, discussion of these results in the context of a larger program. This is joint work with François Dahmani, Monika Kudlinska, and Sam Hughes.
We will gather for teatime in the lounge after the talk and then we will go for dinner with Nicholas.
