Networking for Introverts and others Who Hate Networking

You have heard it before, most people find jobs through networking & need to tap into the hidden job market. But what if you are tapped out, don’t know anyone & dread having to cold call?

Designed by and with introverts in mind, this workshop will explore the many ways to build your network without saying a word. If you have ever wondered how you will promote yourself, keep a conversation going or follow up on one, this workshop is for you! This workshop will identify and explore key components of effective in-person communication throughout the job search process.

As a result of attending this workshop, students will be able to:

1. Approach networking with less anxiety.
2. Have ideas on how to reach out to people effectively.
3. Be aware of the impact of non-verbal communication.
4. Understand that most jobs are found through the hidden job market and that networking is a win-win situation.
