Using Technology and Tools to Support Independent Living for Older Adults
Ron Beleno is an advocate for dementia, caregiving, aging, and research communities. While caring for his father who was living with dementia, Mr. Beleno developed an expertise in the use of technology, community and access to research to support his family to live as well as possible at home.
He is currently an active member, advisor, and mentor to numerous organizations and educational institutions, including AGE-WELL NCE, Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation at Baycrest, the City of Toronto’s Seniors Strategy, The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, and the Translational Research Program at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine.
Mr. Beleno will speak about how technologies can be used to help seniors age well at home.
