McGill Africa Umoja Summit

Under the theme “Empowering Changemakers: Innovations in Food Security, Health & Governance”, this forum will explore critical topics surrounding Food Security, Sustainable Agriculture, Public Health, and Policy in Africa.

In the spirit of  “Umoja”, meaning “unity” in Swahili, we are bringing together changemakers, thought leaders, and trailblazers to explore bold innovations shaping Africa’s future. The Summit is a collaboration between the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at McGill University, the McGill African Studies Program, the McGill University - Margaret A. Gilliam Institute for Global Food Security, and the Max Bell School of Public Policy.
