The  A. Jean de Grandpré Distinguished Speaker Seminar Series, in partnership with the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Food for Thought 2018 Public Lecture Series, kicks off on Tuesday, September 11th with a Town Hall Meeting entitled: Labeling GMO foods – What do we need to know?

This purposeful dialogue led by our discerning panel and moderator will demystify safety concerns surrounding genetically modified food and explore interests in the way our food is labelled.  Our expert panelists - Sarah Berger Richardson and Robert Saik - will introduce the issues with respect to the safety of GMO food products in the short and long term, and the regulatory obligations of labeling.  Led by our distinguished moderator, Dean Anja Geitmann, the core of our meeting time will comprise a dialogue between audience questions and comments and expert response and discussion.  We will wrap up our conversation with summary feedback from our panel of experts.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Online RSVP now open. Please check our website for speaker details.
