The Clinical Teaching Units: Is Learning Occurring as Intended? How Do We Judge?
Laeora Berkson is a rheumatologist and longstanding member of the McGill Community. She graduated from McGill’s undergraduate medical program in 1979, from Internal Medicine Residency in 1982, and from Rheumatology Residency in 1985. In 1990 she completed an MHPE at the University of Illinois (Chicago) Centre of Medical Education, her thesis a critical evaluation of Problem Based Learning. A member of the Faculty since 1987, she has had numerous roles in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. She is currently the inaugural chair of the UGME Program Evaluation and Curricular Outcomes Committee.
