How to Respond to Disclosures Workshop

Join us for this 2-hour interactive workshop where participants learn about the various impacts that sexual violence can have on individuals and about the key components to providing trauma-informed support to someone who discloses. By using appropriate tools and approaches, participants are empowered to apply this new learning through group activities and case scenarios. The workshop will also explore key terms and discuss commonly held misconceptions about sexual violence that may affect one's ability to effectively respond to and support disclosures. In addition, participants will become familiar with the many different support resources available on and off campus that are available in the community.

Students who complete the workshop will receive credits on their co-curricular record. Snacks will be provided.
