About the Desautels Entertainment Management Conference (EMC)

EMC is a brand new, unique concept for a business school conference – the first of its kind in a Canadian University and as far as we can find, the world.

Over the course of two days, 200 passionate undergraduate students will congregate at the Desautels Faculty of Management and participate in a series of events pertaining to the manyexciting fields that fall under the category of Entertainment and Lifestyle management.

We’re bringing high-profile speakers from all aspects of the music, hospitality, nightlife, festival, advertising, television, and film industries to deliver you interactive panels with a variety of perspectives. The second day will comprise a comprehensive negotiation simulation where students are put into groups and have to organize one of Montreal’s leading festivals, with the best teams winning a dinner with leading entertainment companies.
