The Salpeter equation for the description of time dependent relativistic spinless free particle.

The Salpeter equation, often called relativistic Schroedinger equation was introduced by Salpeter sfter his derivation with Bethe of the well known Bethe-Salpeter equation which describes the bound states of a two-body (particles) quantum field theoretical system in a relativistically covariant formalism. In this presentation I will discuss the equation in the historical perspective, study some of its solutions and approximations.
