 Holiday Decorating with Seniors

Do you want to help spread the holiday cheer and get creative while giving back to the community? Come volunteer at CHSLD Vigi Reine-Elizabeth and spend some time with long-term care patients! This volunteering placement involves putting up holiday decorations while engaging with residents.

CHSLDs (Residential and long-term care centres) are facilities designed for seniors experiencing significant loss of autonomy. Their mission is to provide a safe, hospitable environment while ensuring that residents receive the necessary care and services. Wearing a mask is encouraged.

Registration closes on November 18, 2024. First-time volunteers for this activity will be required to complete a Background Check Form by November 22.

By registering for this activity, you agree that your name (first and last) will be shared with the partner organization for logistical and attendance purposes. Once your participation is confirmed, you will receive an email 48 hours in advance with additional information, including the meeting time and location for travelling together to the venue.

When you have volunteered for CHSLD for a minimum of four hours, you can request a copy of your Co-Curricular Record (CCR), an official document recognizing your involvement in out-of-classroom learning experiences.

The venue is easily accessible by public transit. The nearest metro station is a short walk from the location. The venue is equipped with elevators and accessible entrances to ensure convenient access for individuals with mobility challenges.
