"Building and Promoting Knowledge Production of Black Feminist Studies: Challenges and Perspectives," a Talk and Panel Discussion with Dr. Agnès Berthelot-Raffard

Thursday, October 31, 2024 12:00to13:30
Peel 3487 Seminar room, 3487 rue Peel, Montreal, QC, H3A 1W7, CA

The field of Black feminist studies is often overlooked or only known through Anglo-American productions, leaving the concepts produced by Black feminist theorists and their efforts to shift some scientific paradigms unnoticed. This talk delves into Black feminist epistemology to highlight the challenges of producing feminist knowledge about Black women in various geographical, cultural, and linguistic contexts, particularly the one associated with the experiences and realities of Black francophone women.
