Advanced Facilitation Skills
  • Are you looking to improve your presentation skills?
  • Would you like to explore how you are doing in leading discussions and facilitating meetings?
  • Do you find yourself curious about how you might be able to positively impact the environment when you participate in committees or meetings where the structure is hierarchical?

This experiential workshop focuses on improving your facilitation of group discussions and meetings, integrating the development of your leadership, presentation and communication skills simultaneously! Join us for a powerful learning journey offering an opportunity to explore the emerging skills used by individuals and groups to manage change towards professional excellence based on authenticity, autonomy, and integrity.

In this 3.5 hour session we will dive in to the basic skills, knowledge and behaviours that facilitators use in order to be successful in a wide variety of environments. Rich materials and practical, accessible resources on facilitation methodologies, techniques and more will be provided to participants. This session is for students who want an interactive, inter-disciplinary workshop that allows for synthesis of ideas and exploration.

Why facilitation? Facilitation allows everyone to express themselves, keeps discussions moving and maintains a safe, respectful group environment. It also give a practical insight into the hidden curriculum of class or group dynamics and managing change towards professional excellence.

This workshop is for all levels of students, whether you have facilitation experience or not.
