We will discuss why you need to attend and present at conferences.

How to connect conference presentations and publications and;
Available opportunities at McGill that you can use to present and roll out some publications
We will have a hands-on session on writing an effective abstract led by our own McGill writing center experts. We encourage you to bring any abstract you have already started on or just and idea of what you want to work on.
*Note: Please come with your laptop computer/ papers to write.
When: Tuesday October 3rd 2017, 10:30 pm - 12:00 noon

ABCs of the PhD is a free professional seminar series run by graduate students for graduate students. It is sponsored by the Faculty of Education and focuses on the concerns of Education students, but all McGill graduate students are welcome to attend.
