2023 McGill AMR Centre Annual Symposium
The McGill AMR Centre is hosting its 3rd Annual Symposium. We are inviting you to join this in-person event to network and discuss antimicrobial resistance (AMR) related topics, AMR community research interests and needs, coupled with live streaming of keynote speaker for those who attend virtually. Preliminary program includes keynote, faculty talks, poster session and tentative presentation on the Pan-Canadian AMR Action Plan by the AMR Task Force, Public Health Agency of Canada.
Keynote: Dr. Ramanan Laxminarayan, PhD on the "State of the World’s Antibiotics in 2023" - an analysis of antibiotic resistance and its drivers around the world.
Dr. Laxminarayan is the Founder and President of the One Health Trust, founded as the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy (CDDEP). He is a senior research scholar at Princeton University. He is an affiliate professor at the University of Washington, senior associate at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a visiting professor at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.

Call For Poster Abstracts
Poster abstracts for the above 2023 AMR Centre annual symposium are now welcome and encouraged from trainees from all institutions and all disciplines on topics relevant to broad issues of antimicrobial resistance. See AMR research for guidance.
Eligible participants, including current undergrads, graduates, post-grads, and residents registered in any field of study, must present in person at the poster session on May 25th. The deadline for submission is May 20, 2023, at 5:00 PM. Places are limited, submit online now!
