The Wirth Vocal Prize, established as a result of Elizabeth Wirth’s landmark gift in 2015, is awarded annually to an outstanding voice student at the Schulich School of Music who demonstrates exceptional exceptional talent and significant promise for an international career. The first-place prize in the competition is valued at $25,000, and runners-up in the final will be awarded a $1,000 cash prize.

The 2021-2022 Wirth Vocal Prize | Final will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in Pollack Hall.


Help keep our community safe

Procedural masks must be worn at all times in Schulich buildings and concert halls, including during the performance. Masks will be available upon entrance to the Elizabeth Wirth and Strathcona Music Buildings.

Spectators aged 13 or over will need a vaccine passport to attend concerts at the Schulich School of Music. The vaccine passport, along with a photo ID (photo optional for people aged 13 to 15, and 75 or over), must be shown upon entering the venue.

If you do not have a vaccination passport, you will be denied access to the hall.
