Enrico Quilico (MA, 2015), alumnus of our Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, is helping to raise funds for Brain Injury Canada by participating this weekend's Ironman Triathlon in Lake Placid, VT.
Over ten years ago, Quilico was involved in a motorcycling accident. He was lucky to survive. Now, after rehabilitation for his severe brain injury, he is a graduate of education programs at both McGill and Concordia, and will be teaching adult literacy this autumn.
McGill’s Faculty of Law looks forward to welcoming prospective students and their families as part of the annual McGill Open House.
Faculty and alumni of our Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology (ECP) were well-represented among awardees from this year's National Council on Problem Gambling, which recently concluded their 30th National Conference on Problem Gambling in Tarrytown, NY.
The NHL's Winnipeg Jets hockey team has named Education alumnus Jamie Kompon (BEd, Physical Education, 1989) as assistant coach. Previously Kompon had served as Head Coach and General Manager of the WHL's Portland Winterhawks (2014-15). Kompon's NHL experience includes stints with the LA Kings (2006-12) and Chicago Blackhawks (2012-14). In 2013 Kompon became the first NHL coach in 78 years to win back-to-back Stanley Cup titles with different teams.
