The PhD orientation session will introduce you to the program and the School, and give you an opportunity to meet fellow incoming PhD in Information Studies students.
The summer of 2015 marked the first time McGill’s School of Continuing Studies hosted the World Bank – McGill International Professional Development Program for Parliamentary Staff. Participants came from all over the world, representing 16 countries.

A new branch of science aims to do away with the toxic waste that’s associated with industrial manufacturing and some of the brightest lights in this green chemistry movement are pursuing their research at McGill.
Are you interested in research and have a desire to explore this facet in the industry sector?
This presentation features Mitacs, a non-profit Canadian organization, that connects students to paid research opportunities in the non-profit, government, and private sectors. Learn about the program and the application process as well as hear from students who have recently returned from a national or international work experience.
The panelists include Rebecca Reich, Derek Albert, Deniz Kilinc.
The Barreau du Québec recently announced the names of the lawyers who have received the Advocatus Emeritus (Ad. E.) title this year. We are happy to report several of them are members of the McGill Law community.
Networking, Interviewing & Negotiating all require communication skills. Come to this workshop to learn how to use verbal & nonverbal tactics to be liked and to successfully communicate your strengths and interests, and be liked!

Congratulations to recent ECE PhD graduate Dr. Zahra Karim-Aghaloo for winning the 2015 Doctoral Dissertation Award sponsored by the Canadian Image Processing and Pattern Recognition Society (CIPPRS). She received this award at the 12th Canadian Conference on Computer and Robot Vision held in June 2015 in Halifax, NS.
