Friends of McGill Football Family Fun Day Barbecue

For the past five years, the Friends of McGill Football have held their Family Fun Day Barbecue and Corn Roast at either the beginning of, or very early in, the team's practice schedule. They are all made very welcome to come and meet our players, coaches, staff, medical staff, and cheerleaders as well as our mascot, Marty Martlet.

Hockey theme's primal appeal

"I think Canadians have actually bonded to the [Hockey Night in Canada] theme song. They've experienced enough of a chemical reaction to it," says McGill neuroscientist Daniel Levitin. "I don't mean to make this sound spooky or mystical, but we know that when people hear music they like, and are familiar with, dopamine is released."
