During her time in the industry, she has seen the stagnation of workplace diversity, especially in the executive ranks where key decisions are made. Research backs up Reynolds’ observations: A recent Peterson Institute study showed Canada ranking in the bottom 10 among 91 countries for boardroom diversity, on par with Pakistan and below Kenya and Argentina.

On May 30, 2016, members of the McGill and Montreal community gathered for the launch of the Social Innovators' Integration Lab (SIIL). George Burnett (BEd, 1985) was named General Manager of the Ontario Hockey League's Flint Firebirds. Burnett has coached Junior hockey since 1989, spending nine years with the Belleville Bulls, and most recently as Coach and GM of the Hamilton Bulldogs. Burnett also played hockey with OHL's London Knights and McGill Redmen.
