The QS World University Rankings, regarded as “one of the three most influential and widely observed university measures,” recently published their 2015 international rankings. McGill’s Faculty of Education shows a stunning improvement since last year’s publication, jumping up thirteen spots.
The Web Conferencing Service (Adobe Connect) will be unavailable on Monday, May 11, from 7am to 12pm due to a scheduled upgrade.
No conferences will be scheduled during this time.
Please note that due to the extended University year end period, the month of April will not be closing according to the usual month end schedule. April is scheduled to be closed on May 30th. This means that financial statements for April are still not available. An email notification will be sent when the financial statements are ready to be picked up in Minerva.
Until April is closed, please be mindful that fund balances may not include the new fiscal year’s budgets nor the budget carry forwards.

Congratulations to Dr Roland Grad for being awarded the AFMC's John Ruedy Award for innovation in Medical Education!
On April 26, in Vancouver, during the Presidential Address Awards Ceremony at the Canadian Conference in Medical Education (CCME), Dr Grad has received his AFMC John Ruedy Award for innovation in medical Education. The award is given to an individual or group who has developed innovative print materials, electronic learning aids or other teaching aids.
The parties met for a half-day on May 4 with the conciliator appointed by the Ministry of Labour. This was their first meeting following the one-day strike held on April 16. The conciliator helped the parties clarify the points which still need to be discussed.
The Office of Admissions Equity & Diversity will be closed exceptionally on May 12, 2015 from 9:00 am - 12 noon.

Two students from McGill’s Faculty of Education have won Lieutenant Governor’s Awards: Dayna Goldman, of the Department of Integrated Studies in Education, and David Peretz-Larochelle, of the Music Education Concurrent program, were recognized by Lieutenant Governor of Québec, the Honourable Pierre Duchesne.
