A new SSHRC grant will boost the Faculty of Education’s venerated McGill Journal of Education, strengthening the peer-reviewed journal’s commitment to the open access movement. The McGill Journal of Education (MJE), which will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, will utilize funding from this federal program to help increase and diversify their online presence in the changing world of academic publishing.

Medical Simulation Rounds bring together faculty members interested in innovations and research in medical simulation for presentations on a variety of subjects of interest.
DCL candidate Maude Choko will be defending her doctoral thesis, L’autonomie collective au service de la protection des travailleurs autonomes : comment favoriser leur accès à un travail décent à la lumière du cas des artistes au Québec,
DCL candidate Alain Parent will be defending his doctoral thesis, L’imprévision en droit comparé : une analyse normative économique, which was prepared under the supervision of Professor Jean-Guy Belley.
Periodically, IT Services will send out mock phishing emails to the McGill community as part of a proactive approach to increase awareness of the dangers of phishing. Users who click on a link in one of these emails will be redirected to a page informing them that they have participated in a phishing awareness exercise, and will be encouraged to learn how to identify and avoid falling victim to these types of scams.
