The parties met briefly on May 23 in the presence of the conciliator appointed by the Department of Labour. The meeting served to assess whether an agreement could possibly be reached at this time.

The university met with AMUSE/PSAC non-academic casuals on May 19 where the parties presented their respective set of proposals. Both sides’ bargaining committees were present for the start of negotiations. The parties also discussed how the bargaining process should unfold and agreed on a shared communications approach following each bargaining session.

We will be celebrating with a seminar by the internationally renowned researcher Professor Pinar Keskinocak and will conclude with a short presentation by Professor Verter about the achievements and progress of the CREATE HOIM Program. The lecture will take place in the McGill Bronfman Building (1001 Sherbrooke Street W, Room 360).
