We have just received word that new McGill Provost's Graduate Fellowship Awards will be available for all PhD and Master's students in Rehabilitation Sciences who enter the program in Fall 2008. Amount of awards: Master's $1,500, PhD $5,000.

McGill University has captured its first Sopinka Cup. This weekend, the mooting team of law students Monika Rahman and Mareike Newhouse took home the Sopinka Cup and three of the five individual prizes, too: Best Opening Statement (Rahman), Best Closing Statement (Newhouse) and Best Overall Advocate (Rahman). The Faculty of Law offers them its warmest of congratulations!

The Redpath section of the Humanities and Social Sciences Library will be open for study 24 hours a day, 7 days a week starting at 12:45 a.m., Monday, March 31, and ending on Friday, May 2. A valid McGill ID card is required for access to the Library after 00:45 a.m. The Redpath main floor, as well as the Cyberthèque, will remain open overnight during this period. Extended late-night opening hours in the Humanities and Social Sciences Library are brought to you through the financial assistance of the SSMU Library Improvement Fund.
The final text of Marine Cargo Claims, 4th Ed., 2008 has at last been approved and has been sent to the printer by the publisher, Les Éditions Yvons Blais. The book will be available for distribution and purchase on April 30, 2008!
MLIS student Jennie Ferris has been named one of the winners of McGill's Cut the Red Tape contest. Her entry brought attention to inefficiencies in the process of administering federal student loans at McGill.
