The WHO Regional Office for Africa is organizing this conference in collaboration with UNICEF, UNFPA, UNAIDS, World Bank, African Development Bank and other development partners. Hosted by the government of Burkina Faso, the conference will be the first of its kind to take place in Africa. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Alma Ata Declaration on Primary Health Care.
On March 6-9, McGill Law students Damian Hornich, Balkees Jarrah, Elizabeth Neelin-Robinson and Sybil Thompson took part in the Canadian Rounds of the Jessup International Mooting Competition, which was held this year in Saskatoon. Our mooters secured prizes for their advocacy skills, with Balkees ranking as the 2nd top oralist and Damian as 4th among 60 participants. Bravo!
Come join alumni and friends for a great opportunity to read thought-provoking books, meet new people, and have great conversations. Our meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of every month. At each session, one member will lead the discussion of a book they recommended and which was agreed upon by the group.
This session will review policies and procedures at McGill for the supervision of graduate students. The presentations, discussions and questions and answers will provide you with some suggestions, ideas and models that will enable you to work more successfully with your graduate students. No charge.
