Has education really changed since 1857? How will it look in 2057? Find out at the Faculty's commemoration of 150 years of teacher education at McGill. Revisit the past through our historical exhibition of photographs and artifacts. Let our professors inform you about the latest developments in education. Our students will dazzle you with their vision of the future of education.
The celebration will begin with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a musical odyssey that will take you from the late 15th century to the futuristic sounds of electronica. Enjoy a four-course banquet and hear the inspiring words of our keynote speaker, Richard W. Pound, Chancellor of McGill University and former Vice-President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Dinner will be followed by a screening of the documentary film "150 Years from Normal," produced by Faculty of Education students. To conclude the celebration, McGill's Faculty of Music Big Band will have the ballroom swinging. This is a fabulous opportunity to reconnect with old friends or to host your class reunion, so reserve your table now!
Please join your fellow McGill alumni and friends for a networking Happy Hour at Lei Dou.
