Full-day symposium exploring implementation and effectiveness of conservation policy at national and international levels. Focuses on the role of biodiversity data, taxonomic collections and mapping with respect to policy development. Speakers: David Cooper (Convention on Biological Diversity), David Green (Species at Risk Act), Rebecca Ng (World Wildlife Fund), Peter Hall (Canadian Biodiversity Information Facility), Marco Festa-Bianchet (COSEWIC, Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife).
