The area adjacent to the entry of the Humanities and Social Sciences Library, McLennan Library Building, will be closed on Friday, October 19, from 8:00 to 10:30 am and Saturday, October 20, from 12:45 to 3:30 pm due to Homecoming activities. For Homecoming, the Library will be hosting a presentation as part of the Classes without Quizzes program. Richard Virr, Head Curator of the Rare Books and Special Collections Division, and Janine Schmidt, Trenholme Director of Libraries, will speak on the topic "From Mesopotamia to Megabytes," starting at 1:45 pm on October 20, in the area adjacent to the entry of the Humanities and Social Sciences Library lobby area in the McLennan Library Building.
The Parents Association is hosting the first ever Parents Weekend and the Library will host a breakfast for parents on the morning of October 19, at 9:00 am. A short presentation in the area adjacent to the entry of the Humanities and Social Sciences lobby area in the McLennan Library Building will be followed by tours of Rare Books and Special Collections.
McGill Library now has online access to Essential Science Indicators (ESI), a resource that enables researchers to conduct ongoing, quantitative analyses of research performance and to track trends in science.
