The international conference Artistic Migration & Identity: Paris 1870-1940 takes place April 27-29 at the Schulich School of Music.

Now, a product invented by Desautels alumna Dr. Padma Venkat (IMHL’14) and funded in part by a $100,000 Grand Challenges Canada grant promises to alleviate the pressure on regions with little access to clean drinking water. After extensive field testing and design refinements, the Tamras device is ready for prime time.
Quentin O’Mahony is a long way from his Abbottsford, BC home. He lives, works and plays in Japan as the General Manager of CAE’s joint flight-simulator and flight training venture with Japan Airlines, a job that includes overseeing cost efficiencies, preparing the ground to expand operations, and overseeing a training centre in South Korea. He has been at it since 2015, when he helped launch the program at Haneda Airport in Tokyo.
Congratulations to Mr. Srinivas Vanka, Ph.D. Student under the supervision of Professor Ishiang Shih (and former ECE Professor Zetian Mi) who was awarded the Best Presentation Award at Symposium NM7—Semiconductor Nanowires for Energy Applications for his presentation titled "An InGaN Nanowire/Si Tandem Photoanode for High‐Efficiency Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting".
