Prof. Shane McIntosh is the Department's latest faculty recruit, joining us after completing a PhD at Queen's University. Shane, a past Vanier Canada Graduate Scholar, is an expert in software release engineering and software quality. He will be contributing to widen our research and teaching portfolio in the area of software engineering.

Alexander Deans, 18, has just been named one of McGill University’s most recent recipients of the prestigious Schulich Leader Scholarships. Created in 2011 by Canadian business leader and philanthropist Seymour Schulich, this annual scholarship program encourages promising high school graduates to embrace the ‘STEM’ fields – science, technology, engineering and mathematics – in their future careers. This year, there were 1,250 Schulich Leader nominees from across Canada vying for 50 new scholarships.
