CIRM welcomes Alex Gaio and Fabio Scetti as visiting scholars for Summer 2022

CIRM’s new bi-faculty leadership: Interview with Pascal Brissette and Nik Luka

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Montréal (CIRM) is now under bi-faculty leadership! In addition to its original affiliation with the Faculty of Arts, CIRM is now attached to the Faculty of Engineering at McGill University. Nik Luka, CIRM Interim Director from 2020 to 2021, joins Pascal Brissette at the head of the centre.

Interview with Jess Reia, CIRM’s 2020–2021 BMO Fellow

Jess Reia recently concluded their BMO postdoctoral fellowship with the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Montréal (CIRM). They are now undertaking new responsibilities as an assistant professor in the School of Data Science at the University of Virginia.

CIRM is proud to contribute as a partner to the international conference 1971-2021: 50 ans de corpus montréalais. This event organized by Hélène Blondeau (U. of Florida), Marty Laforest (UQTR), and Wim Remysen (CIRM / U. de Sherbrooke) marks the 50th anniversary of the French-language corpus Montréal 1971, which has left its mark on modern sociolinguistics.
