Panel Discussion: AI Ethics

In August 2021, the Conseil jeunesse de Montréal (CjM) submitted a report to City Council entitled "Avis sur l’utilisation de systèmes de décision automatisée par la Ville de Montréal : assurer une gouvernance responsable, juste et inclusive (August 2021 – in French only), which addresses, among other things, the issues related to surveillance technologies within the City.
In order to disseminate the research conducted in the context of the notice and to raise awareness of the ethical issues surrounding the use of automated surveillance technologies, CIRM, in collaboration with CjM, will bring together academics and professionals who are experts in human rights and freedoms, technology ethics and data governance.
