Launch and Discussion: Citizen Empowerment & Dialogue in Montréal and Vancouver

CIRM, in collaboration with the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM), is pleased to invite you to a roundtable discussion on citizen empowerment in urban spaces, followed by the launch of Sustainability, Citizen Participation, and City Governance: Multidisciplinary Perspectives (University of Toronto Press), co-edited by Hoi L. Kong and Tanya Monforte.
Join us at OCPM on February 21th for a 5@7 discussion with the book's co-editors and guest panelists. This roundtable will explore how city governments can facilitate dialogue, empower citizens, and co-produce urban space. Canadian cities are changing in response to environmental, demographic and other pressures. It is therefore an opportune moment to reflect on how city governments can improve the design of urban environments.
This event will be conducted in English. Questions in both French and English are welcome.
