Regional Partners

CARIWIN has strengthened working relationships between CIMH and several regional stakeholders of major importance in water management.

The project has worked closely with the Caribbean office of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) to develop a National Water Information System for Grenada, building on the FAO’s prior initiatives for Jamaica and St Lucia.

The Mona and Cave Hill campuses of the University of the West Indies (UWI) have been actively collaborating with CARIWIN, particularly in the delivery of IWRM training to national partner representatives from Grenada, Guyana, and Jamaica.

The Caribbean Environmental Health Institute (CEHI) has lent its expertise in health aspects of water management to several project events and maintains a link with the Global Environment Fund’s Integrated Watersheds and Coastal Areas Management Project (GEF-IWCAM).

The Caribbean office of the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) is supporting CARIWIN gender equality initiatives.
