Application of the CDPMN was highlighted at the World Climate Research Programme Drought Interest Group Meeting. A poster was presented titled "Drought Early Warning and Risk Reduction: A Case Study of the Caribbean Drought of 2009-2010". The CDPMN began publishing timely Drought Alerts on the CIMH website prior to the onset of the drought in 2009.
