Aaron MacCosham

Aaron is currently in his second year as an M.Sc. student at the McGill Division of Cancer Epidemiology in Montréal, Canada. Aaron received his B.A. Honours with high distinction, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology, from Carleton University in 2015. He also obtained a B.Sc. Honours in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 2018 and graduated summa cum laude. Previously, he has worked as a research assistant at the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital from 2015-2018 and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario from 2016-2017.

His thesis investigates HPV transmission reduction via vaccination using data from the ongoing randomized controlled trial Transmission Reduction and Prevention with HPV Vaccination (TRAP-HPV). He was awarded the Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarship - Master’s Award in 2018 from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and the McGill Faculty of Medicine Internal Studentship Award (jointly funded by Gershman Memorial Fellowship and the Dr. John A. Lundie Research Fellowship) in 2019.
