a year of celebration

2017 is a year of anniversaries: Montreal’s 375th, Canada’s 150th – and Expo 67’s 50th.

At McGill, as across the city and the country, many projects and activities have been organized to mark these milestones. Some of these are centrally-initiated efforts, such as the 85th congress of the Association francophone pour l’avancement du savoir (Acfas), May 8-12; others the work of diverse McGill units and student groups.

This is an occasion not only for our institution to celebrate the communities in which we live, but to highlight McGill’s contributions to those communities.

Please consult this page for events and projects that are scheduled throughout the year and for information on how to propose a project to the cross-campus committee. We have also developed a history of McGill’s connections and contributions to Montreal and Canada and invite your suggestions.
