- Share the Warmth - Located in Pointe-St-Charles, Share the Warmth aims to support the community by providing services pertaining to child development and success, employment, and food security. - Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre - Located in the low-income but high potential community of Little Burgundy, Tyndale St. Georges brings together hundreds of committed Montrealers working collectively to offer a wide range of programs. - NDG Food Depot - The NDG Food Depot strives to eliminate hunger in a manner that ensures dignity, community engagement and the development of human potential. Contact operations [at] depotndg.org (Katie McGroarty).
- Spaghetti Nights Family Workshops - A spin-off from our “Homework Zone” project, spaghetti nights aims to engage with the parents of school children and teach valuable skills while discussing common goals. In order to make it accessible, dinner and daycare are provided. Help out with the daycare. Email hz.sede [at] mcgill.ca to confirm.
- The Yellow Door - located in the Milton-Park Community, is a community organization which seeks to promote dialogue, connectedness and intergenerationality. For more information, email yd.activitiescoordinator [at] gmail.com (Sonia).
- Afghan Women’s Centre - The Afghan Women’s Catering Collective is a project out of the Afghan Womens center which seeks to give Afghan women (particularly recent immigrants) the opportunity to develop their cooking skills and earn income. For more information, email viktorya.j [at] sympatico.ca.
- Innovation Youth - Strives to offer support to youth in downtown Montreal, who are between the ages of 12 and 24. Can you teach high school science from 4-5:30pm any day of the week? Contact kthellot [at] direction.ca (Kay )for more information.
- Maison de l'Amitié - Teach a language class with a partner or facilitate a group conversation for 5 to 10 adults in English or French. Contact benevolat [at] maisondelamitie.ca (Dora-Marie).
- Baobab familial - Welcomes and supports families. Tutoring program in French and home respite care for families that need a hand with anything from childcare to groceries. - St-James Drop-in Centre - Seeks to provide a safe and supportive environment for marginalized and/or homeless people. Located downtown they are always looking for kitchen help and other needs. Email info [at] stjamescentre.ca for more information or to get started.
