Anurag Dhir

""Community Engagement Coordinator

Anurag brings 15 years of experience in Montreal’s community and non-profit sectors as an organizer, educator, writer and facilitator. He launched McGill's community engagement branch at the former Social Equity and Diversity Education (SEDE) office to help local community organizations develop mutually-beneficial collaborations with McGill students, faculty and staff that address community needs while impacting teaching and learning at McGill, inside and outside the classroom.
Additionally, he collaborates with McGill, Montreal and Indigenous partners to co-develop access to education and youth mentoring programs that address challenges of equity and opportunity in our education system while complementing the work of educators and families. Exploring university-community programs within the education system was the focus of his M.A. in Education & Society from the Department of Integrated Studies in Education at McGill University.

McGill University is on land that long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst
Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge
and thank the diverse Indigenous people whose footsteps have marked this territory on which
peoples of the world now gather.
