In collaboration with the Indigenous Health Professions Program, the Branches Team has embarked on the ‘Soup & Bannock Podcast series’, a project that aims to portray, highlight and share the experiences of Indigenous individuals from various industries and at different stages of their careers, through shared stories, insights and comments.

The first episode in the series – ‘Health Sciences’, features three guests from the industry, all the way from a prospective student to a student currently studying medicine, to an industry professional, thus allowing for unique, personal, and thought-provoking conversations across past, present and future Indigenous experiences in this field.

In the second episode, we dwell on the fields of Psychology and Social Work, and we hear it from students and an industry professional who share valuable insights from various stages of their professional development. Tune in to hear about past, present and future Indigenous experiences in this field.

McGill University is situated on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka, a place which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst nations. We recognize and respect the Kanien’kehà:ka as the traditional custodians of the lands and waters on which we meet today.
