Beyond the Basics
Are you looking to enrich your program of study? The Department of Biochemistry and the University offer a variety of opportunities for students to do so, including the ones described below; again, you’ll find links for more information at the left.
- Students in our undergraduate programs may pursue a semester or a full year of their programs at another university through McGill’s Study Away Programs.
- Students who have completed the BIOC 220 and BIOC 320 laboratory courses can enhance their laboratory skills and learn more about current research in biochemistry through participation in our undergraduate laboratory research courses, BIOC 396, BIOC 462 and BIOC 491.
- The Biochemistry Undergraduate’s Society (BUGS) offers numerous opportunities for undergraduates to participate in social and fundraising events, or to contribute to student life through participation on the BUGS Council.
