Every year, the Bensadoun School of Retail Management holds an international academic summit on retail, focusing on the major issues facing the sector. Students and business executives benefit from the work and experience of the speakers, as well as networking opportunities.
In 2018, the theme was fashion retailing and artificial intelligence and in 2019, disruption in the customer experience. We welcomed as speakers - professors from the best universities in North America and Europe (eg Cambridge, Cornell, Harvard, LBS, MIT, NYU, Stanford, Wharton, etc.) and senior executives from leading companies in retail and its ecosystem (eg Airbnb, Element AI, Intel, RBC, Ride with Via, Rubikloud, SSense, Stitch Fix, Walmart, etc.).
Past 2020 Virtual Retail Summit editions
1st Edition - October 16, 2020 featured two digital marketing experts, Harikesh Nair from Stanford Graduate School of Business and Jason Goldberg from Publicis, with a particular focus on the digital disruptions in the consumer experience and the latest technologies and innovations in digital marketing.
2nd Edition - October 30, 2020 featured Peter Fader from the Wharton School and Eric Falardeau from McKinsey & Company where they shared their perspectives and insights on consumer behaviour.
