Overall, a critical aspect of my internship was the professional and personal growth it permitted. The environment at WFP was one with an incredibly supportive, welcoming and helpful team which provided the space and opportunity for growth within and beyond my responsibilities as I gained experience.

In addition to the technical skills and knowledge I acquired, my time at the World Food Programme broadened my perspective to encompass the broader aspects of global development. I was fortunate to participate in seminars and workshops covering a spectrum of topics, including food security and gender equality, which illuminated the intricate interconnectedness of these challenges. This experience further strengthened my conviction in the imperative of collaborative efforts to shape a more positive world.

As I reflect on my internship, I am happy to say that it was an experience that shaped my career aspirations and has been central to my academic and professional direction.
