McGill offers the option of continuing to study during the summer months of May to August. A vast range of courses are offered over the summer allowing students to continue studying and credit courses towards their degree program. Most courses are month long courses with lectures every day. These are frequently the same courses offered during the fall or winter semesters, but are a condensed intensive version.
Students taking Summer Studies courses to complete their graduation requirements at McGill will receive their degrees at the Fall Convocation (normally held in November).
When registering for courses, it is important to be aware of University and Faculty regulations. It is incumbant upon the student to follow the regulations and not to exceed the maximum credits during permitted by the Faculty.
